Quick Pimple Treatment

By

Treating pimples can be a frustrating thing to have to deal with, but there are many things you can try to help ward off this condition. Acne is caused by the oil glands in your skin becoming clogged. Almost everyone suffers from acne at some time in their life. Some cases are very mild while others get it so severe that they need to be treated by a dermatologist. Treating it when you first notice the symptoms will help keep it from getting out of control.

3 Steps for Quick Pimple Treatment

There are three main ways to treat your skin for pimples. The first thing you can try is to live a healthy life style. Making sure that you eat the proper foods can help. Drink at least eight glasses of water per day and try to get at least eight hours of sleep per night. This should be the first step that people take for pimple treatment, but it is almost always universally ignored. People tend to see acne as a problem on the outside of the skin, when the pimples are simply the visible effects of an inner imbalance. A healthy body that receives the correct amount of nutrition and exercise will be better able to fight of the underlying cause of acne.

Secondly try to keep the pores on your skin open. Keeping your face clean may prevent breakouts. Using a cleansing solution or product made to control an over abundance of oil in your skin can help. Try using a mild cleaner as opposed to an abrasive one. Most of these types of washes are inexpensive and easy to use. If you want to use an exfoliating cleanser or mask, try to find one that has very fine granules and salicylic acid. This type of product will remove the outer layer of your skin and open the pores. Other washes that can be used are ones that contain Retinol. It contains Vitamin A to help promote clean skin and also to help keep your pores open.

Reducing the oil on your skin will help prevent pimples. Your glands automatically produce oil, but when pimples appear it usually means the glands are over-reacting. To rid your skin of an over abundance of oil you can use an astringent which usually comes in a cloth form or pad, to wipe away excess oil. You can also use products that contain glycolic acid as it is a mild oil reducer. Mud masks that contain sulfur will help loosen any dirt or bacteria from your skin. They work by drawing out the excess oil.

Thirdly, one of the most common reasons for pimples flaring up is that there is bacteria on your skin. In order to rid yourself of this, you will need to clean away the bacteria. To do this you should use an antibacterial soap or cleanser. One of the most useful is one containing benzoyl peroxide. You can find these products in a variety of creams, lotions, soaps and gels. They are to be used externally. Some of these products also contain sulfur. The benzoyl peroxide may cause your skin to become red, but this usually goes away in time if you discontinue use.

Natural Pimple Treatment

There are hundreds of different homemade pimple treatments that people have used to get rid of pimples naturally. Apple cider vinager will most likely show up in many of these treatments, as it does in most lists for natural remedies.

Tea tree oil is probably the most recognized natural treatment for pimples. This natural oil works by killing the ance causing bacteria and preventing oil from clogging up your pores. While it is a natural product, it can still cause some drying and irrataion to the skin. Just like you would with an over the counter acne medication, you should use an ance freindly mousurizer after applying this treatment.
